New York (AP) -- Carmelo Anthony is in the New York Knicks' starting lineup after missing two games with a variety of injuries.

Anthony has been battling a sprained right ankle, sprained left wrist and sprained right thumb. He worked out Tuesday morning and again after arriving at Madison Square Garden before the Knicks decided he would play against the Detroit Pistons.
The All-Star forward has been in a slump since getting hurt, shooting 31.7 percent from the field.
But coach Mike D'Antoni says he doesn't think Baron Davis will play until next week. Davis has been working to get into shape after missing the entire season with a herniated disk in his back. D'Antoni says Davis hasn't had a setback; the training staff just thought he should take some more time.
