Metta World Peace is Still Ron Artest
It's Metta World Peace on the back of his #15 Lakers jersey. It's the same on his driver's license. Game announcers have all had to make the adjustment. But if you happen to run into MWP and hit him up for an autograph, you'll still get: "Ron Artest"
Metta explains in the video, but credit him for wanting to be perfect with the MWP signature to have fans wait a year before unfurling it.
Maybe this explains the drop-off in his game this year as he's been too busy working on the getting the signature just right. Or he could just be bored.
